ORA ET LABORA

ORA ET LABORA

On the porch of a shop I was surprised to see a man carrying 2 packs of plastic sacks filled with food. Then he offered me to buy the food. Then I asked, what food did he sell. Then answered: "Opak Crackers". Then I bought it 3 small packs. The chat continued, he told me that he had come from the city of Blora, Central Java, which was 190 kilometers from my city (Jogjakarta). How to sell "opaque crackers" by traveling from morning to night. Then after the body was tired, he returned to the boarding house in Jogja. Interrupted while working, he said he was always looking for a mosque to pray. I remember the saying of Ora Et Labora (pray and work). This man reminded me that praying and working is an inseparable whole. This means that we go through both things equally. "Whoever works the land will be full of food, but who only chases after things will be full of poverty"
